Laney - impressed for Scotland (Allsport)
BRENDAN LANEY
Laney's decision to represent Scotland caused a real stir after a glittering career with Otago and Otago Highlanders in New Zealand.
He qualifies for Scotland through a maternal grandmother from Glasgow and played for New Zealand under-21s and New Zealand Barbarians before deciding to make the switch.
He made his Scotland debut against New Zealand in the 2001 Autumn Tests and reached 100 points after just nine Tests with a 12 points haul against Romania in November 2002.
He went on to kick eleven points in Scotland's 21-6 win against South Africa in November while his 24 points haul against Italy last year was a record for a Scot in the Six Nations Championship.
