| Things could not have gone much better for Ian McGeechan and his Scottish
team, winning all three November Tests, including collecting the notable scalp
of South Africa.
The Scots, whose forwards were impressive throughout, brushed off South Africa
by 15 points - their record win in the fixture - as flanker Budge Pountney and
new wing Nikki Walker scored tries.
Either side of the Springboks, Scotland defeated Romania and Fiji, averaging
more than 30 points and five tries a game. Look out for players like Walker,
centre Andy Craig and prop Bruce Douglas during the Six Nations, as confirmation
of considerable Scottish potential.
