Six Nations champions France comfortably disposed of South Africa, with
exciting new Toulouse wing Vincent Clerc scoring a try and talented fly-half
Francois Gelez kicking 20 points.
Gelez though, was the villain a week later when New Zealand escaped from Stade
de France with a 20-20 draw, missing two injury-time penalty chances that would
have secured another home win.
France ended their November schedule through a hard-fought victory over
Canada, with Clerc once again showing great promise by scoring his third try in
three Tests.
