 SIX NATIONS ANALYSIS
Picture Johnson - inspiring leader.

MARTIN JOHNSON

The England captain has not hasd the best of seasons with Leicester Tigers whose position as the dominant force in club rugby has taken a severe dent.

Approaching the end of his career, Johnson does have great leadership skills though and England have missed him when he has been absent, as was the case in the 2001 surprise loss to Ireland.

Johnson, who plays in the second row, remains Clive Woodward's top choice for the job. He is also the first player ever to captain the British Lions on two tours.

Goes into the tournament with 70 caps to his name, having made his international debut nearly ten years ago.
