Bulloch is a fierce competitior and one of the genuine stars in the Scottish side.

He was named man of the match for his magnificent display in in the autumn victory over South Africa with his never-say-die spirit helping to galvanise his side in the closing stages.

In last season's championship he scored a brace of tries in Scotland's 27-22 victory against Wales and was again a stand-out performer.

He made a late entry to the 2001 British & Irish Lions touring party, being called in to cover injury in the squad.

However his outstanding attitude and form on the tour meant he was soon part of the team, plahying in five of the tour games and appearing as a substitute in the first Test win against Australia.
