Wasps let slip a big lead and had to be content with a draw after Leeds capped
their fightback with a try and conversion in injury time.
Leeds had also begun the scoring when fly-half Braam van Straaten landed a
penalty from 40 metres.
From the same distance van Straaten's opposite number Alex King equalised with
an equally powerful curling penalty three minutes later.
But determined Wasps took just two minutes before taking the lead with a try
on the right by wing Shane Roiser.
The Tykes fought back and in the 14th minute van Straaten narrowed the deficit
with his second penalty of the afternoon.
King widened the gap with another penalty kick before repeating the
performance five minutes later.
Wasps moved into a comfortable lead of 20 points to six thanks to a long-range
penalty by winger Kenny Logan.
The second half saw a 45th-minute try from flanker Paul Volley who took a pass
from hooker Phil Greening. King made the conversion.
Van Straaten landed three penalties to reduce the deficit - the last a
stunning effort from well inside their own half in the 66th minute.
Mark Regan took possession from a line-out in the 69th minute to give Leeds a
try and leave them trailing by only seven points.
Then a surprise last-gasp touchdown from full-back Dan Scarbrough and
conversion from van Straaten sneaked Leeds level.
