Ireland trained for the first time on Tuesday as they began preparations for their November internationals with Australia, Fiji and South Africa.

There were no major injury concerns for the players that came into camp at the University of Limerick, with several players either rested as a precaution or taking a partial part in training under the supervision of medical staff.

Those who did not take part in training on Tuesday included Gordon D'Arcy, who rested his calf strain.

Rob Kearney was on the field doing rehabilitation training on a hamstring strain, as was Brian O'Driscoll, who has a tight calf.

Jerry Flannery and Tony Buckley also underwent rehabilitation on the field as they recover from calf injuries.

Tommy Bowe, Leo Cullen and David Wallace sat out the session as they recover from minor knocks picked up over the weekend.

However, none of the injuries to the players are considered enough to rule them out of selection for next week's clash with the Wallabies at Croke Park.

Marcus Horan was not in camp with the rest of the squad today as he has been undergoing a series of tests which will be completed this week.

His availability for the Guinness Series will be determined after the tests are completed and the results known.

The Ireland A team to play Tonga and a 30-man squad for the November 15 Test against Australia will be announced on Friday.
