Scotland scrum-half Chris Cusiter has described his exclusion from the British
and Irish Lions side as his "biggest disappointment" in rugby.
Sir Clive Woodward decided to leave out Cusiter and countryman Gordon Bulloch
for the third and final Test with New Zealand on Saturday.
It meant that for the first time a Lions tour will have taken place without a
single Scot making a Test appearance.
The Lions had been well beaten in the first two games but Woodward declined to
drop Dwayne Peel and named Matt Dawson as the reserve number nine.
Writing in his Scotsman column, Cusiter said: "Seeing the final Lions Test
team up on the board yesterday morning I have to say was the biggest
disappointment of my rugby career to date.
"I can't pretend otherwise. I had set my heart on finishing this tour as a
Test player. Instead, my tour has ended with the first half against Manuwatu."
Woodward's final selection saw six England players, five Welsh and four from
Ireland named in the starting line-up.
