Huddersfield Giants got back to business after their Challenge Cup disappointment as Liam Fulton and Shaun Lunt both touched down twice in an emphatic Super League win at Brewery Field.
Huddersfield made several changes to the side beaten by Warrington Wolves in last weekend's Carnegie Challenge Cup final at Wembley but still included eight members of that team plus three on the bench.
For the Welsh club this was their final match in Bridgend, where they have been based since their launch three years ago, before heading to Newport for the next two years.
They finished as they started against London Skolars back in the Northern Rail Cup three years ago, their first game as a then semi-professional side, by scoring well. But their points were just consolations, in the form of tries from Anthony Blackwood, Mark Lennon and Steve Tyrer.
By the time the Crusaders had crossed for their tries, Huddersfield were well away and out of sight.
They grabbed seven tries, with second-string kicker Leroy Cudjoe at full-back proving immaculate with the boot, converting each time.
David Hodgson crossed for the first of the Giants' tries after four minutes, and Fulton got the first of his two in the game before Larne Patrick went over on 34 minutes.
With Cudjoe's conversions, that put Huddersfield 18-0 up and there was no way back for the Crusaders.
Huddersfield notched up another gear around the hour when Paul Whaturia and Lunt, who got two tries in three minutes, went over.
Blackwood then got the Welshmen on the board.
Another neat try for Fulton extended Huddersfield's lead before the Giants began thinking of the journey back home, allowing Lennon and Tyrer to bag late scores.
