Scrum-half Luke Robinson set up three tries for Huddersfield as they cemented third place in the engage Super League table with a fourth straight win against Warrington.

Robinson played in substitute Paul Jackson only seconds after he replaced Darrell Griffin for the game's opening score after 19 minutes.

Warrington's defence was opened up again soon after by a one-two between Scott Moore and Robinson, with the substitute diving over unchallenged.

Robinson then broke from deep past several Warrington players and put Brett Hodgson away down the right flank after 34 minutes.

Hodgson, who kicked two conversions and a penalty in the first half, sent Leroy Cudjoe on the overlap for the first of the winger's two tries.

Huddersfield led 18-0 after the break and it could have been more when Eorl Crabtree broke for the line just before the interval. He bustled through the Warrington defence to go clear and seemed certain to score but appeared to trip over his own feet just short of the try line.

Warrington started well but failed to capitalise on early possession despite benefiting from five disputed offside decisions close to the Giants try line.

Ben Harrison broke through the Giants defence from Michael Monaghan's pass but spilled the ball before grounding it.

Huddersfield came more into the game after that and it was Robinson's inspired attacking which gave them a platform to secure a 14th win of the season and avenge a 40-18 defeat at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in May.

Ben Westwood got Wolves off the mark after 44 minutes. He too seemed to spill the ball before grounding it but the try was given.

Warrington's Richie Mathers was then lucky not to be sin binned for a second-half high tackle on Robinson as the scrum-half darted through.

Cudjoe bagged his second try, from another Hodgson pass, while Michael Lawrence went over to secure victory in the second-half.

Warrington gained one last piece of consolation when Brian Carney dived over at the death and Chris Bridge converted just before the final hooter.
