Luke Robinson and David Hodgson each crossed for two tries as Huddersfield eased into the fifth round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup with a comfortable victory at Harlequins.

A fortnight after thumping Quins in Super League, the Giants were at it again as Nathan Brown's men ran rampant in the capital.

The visitors quickly got into their stride, and after Danny Ward was penalised Brett Hodgson probed, allowing Keith Mason to canter into acres of space and cross.

Quins managed to draw level when Tony Clubb burst through a number of tackles to rumble over under the posts.

But with the Londoners misfiring in attack and missing tackles in defence the Giants maintained a grip on the game, and turned that pressure into points in the latter stages of the first half.

Firstly, Robinson stepped inside and out to confuse the defence and score after good work from Scott Moore, and minutes later Robinson himself made the break, offloading for David Hodgson to dart in at the corner.

Huddersfield were not done yet, and right on the hooter Hodgson broke again, setting up Stephen Wild for a clear run to the line.

The visitors kept up the tempo in the second half, and moments after the restart Michael Lawrence wriggled clear to put David Hodgson in at the corner.

With desperate Quins becoming increasingly ragged, the game became incredibly open, and the Giants profited when Robinson rounded off a move involving Shaun Lunt.

With the game wrapped up, Huddersfield took their foot off the gas and allowed the hosts a foothold.

Throwing the ball round with abandon, Quins made the scoreline respectable with late scores from Karl Temata and David Howell.

But fittingly the visitors were to have the final word with two scores at the death, Paul Whatuira scorching down the wing to touch down, and Brett Hodgson running clear under the sticks in the dying seconds.
