Braces of tries from Chad Randall and the departing Julien Rinaldi ensured Harlequins rounded off their season in style as the Londoners saw off a late comeback from Catalans Dragons.
Inspired by Rob Purdham, Quins stormed into a 22-8 lead at the break as the loose forward racked up 14 points including a spectacular try.
Despite two tries from Dimitri Pelo, which applied some late pressure for the visitors, Quins clung on to give the best possible farewell to the departing Scott Hill, Henry Paul and Rinaldi at The Stoop.
Catalans went ahead after 11 minutes with Adam Mogg's penalty and cruised into an 8-0 lead when the stand-off also scored a converted try after a miscommunication in the Quins defence.
But the home side hit back after 19 minutes when Will Sharp sprinted in from half-way to cut the lead to 8-6 following Purdham's conversion.
Quins were rewarded for their dominance in the 29th minute when Randall burrowed his way over from a yard out after good build-up work from Danny Orr and Gareth Haggerty.
Randall added another five minutes from half-time, linking up wonderfully with Purdham to pick a hole on the Dragons right.
And Purdham touched down just before the break, diving over on the right ahead after full back Clint Greenshields miss-handled a speculative grubber to give Quins a 22-8 lead at the interval.
Quins added another try just ten minutes after half-time when successive quick play allowed Rinaldi to dart over from dummy half.
But the Dragons would not lie down and scrum-half Casey McGuire slid through the home side's defence after an offload from former Brisbane Bronco Dane Carlaw.
And the visitors were in again in the 66th minute when Pelo dived in at the far right corner after John Wilson's lofted pass and following some quick thinking he had his second on 73 minutes.
Gorrell's touch line conversion made it 28 - 24 setting up a tense finish but fittingly Randall put an end to Catalans hopes, dummying to go over from close range, before Paul added the extras.
