Samoa centre George Carmont got on the scoresheet on his first appearance for Wigan as the Warriors came from 10-6 down to beat Bradford in the Paul Deacon testimonial match at a rain-swept Odsal.
Wigan, who recovered a 24-point deficit to win 31-30 on their previous visit to Bradford in September, mastered the difficult conditions to register an impressive victory ahead of the new Super League season.
Carmont, Wigan's latest signing from Newcastle Knights, demonstrated exceptional power to claim the last of the visitors' five tries while teenage winger Sean Ainscough touched down twice.
Bradford, who fielded all six of their close-season signings, faded after a promising start and had second rower David Solomona carried off on a stretcher after 44 minutes with a knee injury that looks likely to rule him out of the season's opener at Wakefield on February 10.
Bulls' fans among the 5,036 crowd had the satisfaction of witnessing encouraging performances from newcomers Chris Nero and Ben Jeffries both while left winger Semi Tadulala scored a blockbusting try of which his predecessor Lesley Vainikolo would have been proud, taking Deacon's kick on the full and bouncing off two defenders to touch down at the corner.
Terry Newton and Mick Higham, the hookers at the centre of a proposed swap deal, were both involved in the early action, the former setting up a try for Sam Burgess after the Wigan man had sent Harrison Hansen over for the game's first try.
Ainscough won the race to Thomas Leulua's grubber kick to score his first try eight minutes before the break and Pat Richards' second goal edged the visitors 12-10 in front by half-time.
Wigan dominated the second half, with Ainscough touching down Trent Barrett's kick for his second try and Thomas Leuluai breaking clear to send full-back Richards over.
Carmont then made his mark before winger Dave Halley scored a consolation try for the Bulls, with Deacon kicking his second goal.
