Former London Broncos centre Tony Martin marked his first appearance for Wakefield with a 14-point haul as the Wildcats brushed aside a youthful Bradford side to gain a second notable pre-season scalp despite driving rain at Belle Vue.
Martin, who has joined Wakefield on a two-year deal from New Zealand Warriors, scored one of eight tries and kicked five goals from six attempts as John Kear's men followed up their 26-18 Boxing Day win at champions Leeds with another impressive show.
Hooker Brad Drew also made a big impression on his first outing in Wakefield colours while former Bradford prop Richard Moore scored a brace of tries against his old club to take the man-of-the-match award.
The home side made the perfect start with tries from Moore and Martin in the opening nine minutes but it took them another 26 minutes to breach the Bradford line a third time.
Loose forward Kevin Henderson went over five minutes before the interval and, with the wind and rain at their backs, the Wildcats cut loose in the second half.
Wakefield ran in three tries in an eight-minute spell through Luke George, Dale Ferguson and Ryan Atkins to open up a 34-0 lead and - although the visitors briefly stemmed the tide - the Wildcats added further late tries through Moore and full-back Scott Grix, one of which was converted by another ex-Bradford man in Brett Ferres.
Bradford fans can still take heart from their team's emphatic defeat, since only three players from their makeshift line-up are guaranteed to return for the opening match of Super League XIII on February 10.
Former Harlequins centre Paul Sykes marked his return to Bradford colours with a busy performance but the young Bulls badly lacked penetration and ran out of ideas near the Wakefield line.
