Wakefield warmed up for next Saturday's engage Super League opener at Hull KR with an eight-try win.

The Wildcats, fielding 14 of their first team squad, built a 26-10 interval lead with tries from Ryan Atkins, James Davy, Paul White, Dale Ferguson and Semi Tadulala.

National League Two Featherstone staged a gutsy second-half fightback to cut the gap to six points before Wakefield sealed victory with two tries in the last five minutes from Jason Golden and White with his second. Austin Buchanan kicked five goals.

Featherstone's try scorers were Wayne McHugh (2), Danny Kirmond, Scott Wilson and Scott Glassell.
