Warrington new boy Paul Johnson scored his first try for the club as the Wolves swept aside Widnes in the Boxing Day Challenge at Halton Stadium.
Johnson was in sparkling form for the Wolves throughout but it only took him five minutes to open his Warrington account as he barged over from close range after latching onto a deft Chris Bridge pass.
The Vikings hit back with a try from youngster Scott Yates but it was one-way traffic from that point onwards - even though Warrington prop Steve Pickersgill was sent from the field for 10 minutes for a high tackle on Mick Cassidy.
Full-back Stuart Reardon helped himself to a double as did winger Chris Riley as Warrington took hold of the game.
Brent Grose and Lee Briers also crossed as the visitors piled on the pressure in the second half.
Briers, who linked up well with Bridge all afternoon, landed seven goals before his exit on 65 minutes.
Richie Barnett, Mark Gleeson and Kevin Penny rounded off the scoring for the Wolves late on to finish a miserable day for the Vikings.
