Wakefield forward Kyle Bibb is indebted to Hull KR coach Justin Morgan for kick-starting his career - but insists there will be no divided loyalties when he runs out against his Rovers side at Belle Vue on Saturday night.
The 22-year-old front rower went on loan to Morgan's team in July, after losing his first-team place at Wakefield, and re-discovered his form during a brief spell at Craven Park.
"They did me a massive favour," he said.
"My form had dropped before I went to Hull KR and I wasn't getting a chance at Wakefield.
"I got the opportunity to go on loan, and it picked up from there. Justin tried to get me for another month, but Wakefield had a few injuries at the time and they brought me back.
"I've got back in the team now and I need to keep working hard and take my opportunities as I go along."
An injury to Leigh-bound prop Ricky Bibey paved the way for a recall for Castleford-born Bibb, and he will be in the side for tonight's final game of the regular Super League season.
"We had six props, and he was sixth in the pecking order," said Wakefield coach John Kear.
"Justin Morgan said he would do a job for them for a month, and I felt it would be good for the player's development.
"It did him the world of good. He came back a confident young man and he has contributed to us since."
Meanwhile, Kear believes the best two young English full-backs will be going go head-to-head tonight as the Wildcats seek to oust Wigan from fifth place and Hull KR aim to clinch third spot.
Hull KR's Shaun Briscoe is favourite for the number one jersey for England in the end-of-season Gillette Four Nations series, but Kear believes Wakefield's Matt Blaymire is not far behind.
"I think Matthew Blaymire has been absolutely sensational this season," he said.
"It's his third year in Super League, and he's been our most consistent performer.
"I don't really like to pick individuals out but I think he epitomises how we've developed as a club and as a team over the last three years.
"I was fortunate enough to work with Shaun Briscoe, both at Wigan and at Hull, and he is absolute quality at full-back. But Matt is very close to him indeed."
