Wakefield have signed Michael Korkidas on loan from Huddersfield for the 2010 season.
The 28-year old re-joined the Wildcats at the end of May in a swap loan deal with Danny Sculthorpe heading the other way to the Giants, and following a successful spell John Kear has moved to keep the Australian at the club until the end of Super League XV.
After beginning his career with the Sydney Roosters, Korkidas moved to Wakefield in 2003 and went on to make 109 appearances before joining Salford City Reds in 2007 and then having a spell at Castleford Tigers.
He has enjoyed a sustained run in the Wildcats team since coming in on loan, doing enough to persuade Kear to make him a loan signing for the whole of the 2010 campaign.
"We're delighted to secure the services of Michael for a further 12 months. He has continued his great recent form and we look forward to him producing further outstanding performances," said Kear.
"We look forward to him helping the club continue our improvement in 2010."
Giants Managing Director Michael Thewlis said of the deal: "The arrangement for Michael has worked out well for all three parties and we are happy to extend it until the end of the 2010 season.
The player himself is looking forward to being part of the Wildcats squad for the full engage Super League XV campaign.
"John approached me and I got the go ahead from Huddersfield. I'm happy here; I'm playing good footy and the club's heading in the right direction," said Korkidas."Next year we've got some really good signings coming in with the experience of Glenn Morrison and Terry Newton which will be good for the young blokes and for me because you're always learning as a player.
"Shane Tronc's one of the leading props in the NRL so it will be great to play alongside him."
Meanwhile Wakefield season ticket prices for the 2010 Super League season have been set at the same level as 2007.
An adult can buy a season pass from £185 by taking up the early bird option, whilst current season ticket holders can renew from just £175 by visiting the Wildcats Superstore before 5pm on Wednesday 30th September.
Buying a new season ticket early will entitle supporters to the option of buying a brand new 2010 Wildcats replica away shirt for just £25, saving £20 on the RRP.
