HUDDERSFIELD:

Brett Hodgson: The Giants captain recovered from an awful start to lead his side superbly, making the break for his side's opening try and scoring the second. 7

Leroy Cudjoe: Superb offload created a try for his skipper and defended solidly throughout. 6

Jamahl Lolesi: Took a blow to the head in the first half and never really got into the game. 5

Paul Whatuira: Busy in defence but subdued in attack. 5

David Hodgson: Had a first-half try disallowed but worked non-stop driving the ball out of defence and rewarded with a late score. 6

Kevin Brown: Showed some silky touches but went off after 30 minutes with a knee injury. 6

Luke Robinson: Toiled non-stop but never managed to impose himself on the game. 5

Keith Mason: Fell below the exceptionally high standards he has set this season. 5

Shaun Lunt: Made the most of his surprise start, finishing superbly to score a try shortly after having one disallowed. 7

Darrell Griffin: Came up with an early costly handling error and his confidence never recovered. 5

Liam Fulton: Put in some useful kicks and showed glimpses of his form in attack. 6.

Stephen Wild: Crucial ball steal set up position for Huddersfield's first try but his work was restricted to defence. 5

David Faiumu: Neat offload helped create Huddersfield's first try but faded after a promising start. 6

Substitutes:

Eorl Crabtree: Initially made a big impact from the bench but could not sustain the effort. 5

Paul Jackson: Produced some telling runs out of defence and came up with some neat offloads. 6

Scott Moore: Began on the bench and never really got into the game. 5

Martin Aspinwall: Worked hard to create something in a desperate situation in the second half. 6

WARRINGTON:

Richard Mathers: Took his chance well to score the game's first try and faultless in defence. 6

Chris Riley: Safe under the high ball and dangerous in attack. 6

Matt King: Had a try disallowed but generally a quiet game. 6

Chris Bridge: Showed some nice handling touches and kicked all four conversions. 7

Chris Hicks: Took his try well and never put a foot wrong in defence. 7

Vinnie Anderson: Played out of position at stand-off but recovered from a cut head to score the match-clinching try. 7

Lee Briers: Mesmerised the Giants defence with his handling skills and finished the game off with his 60th drop goal for the club. 8

Adrian Morley: Led by example with some forceful running and crunching defence. 7

Michael Monaghan: Took his try well and caused havoc for the Giants with his dummy-half play. 8

Garreth Carvell: Inspired performance as he made up for the disappointment of a runners-up medal with Hull 12 months earlier. 7

Louie Anderson: Charge-down set up the position for his side's early score and tackled himself to a standstill. 8

Ben Westwood: Typically determined effort without particularly catching the eye. 7

Ben Harrison: Little chance to shine on attack but worked non-stop in defence. 7

Substitutes:

Michael Cooper: Came up with some crunching tackles at an important time in the match. 7

Paul Johnson: Strong performer from the bench. 7

Mickey Higham: Made a quiet comeback after almost three months out with a ruptured bicep. 6

Tyrone McCarthy: Came on in the final quarter for only his third senior appearance. 5
