Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have announced that Glenn Morrison will be joining the club for the Super League XV season from Bradford Bulls.
The 33-year old signs on a one-year deal after previous spells with Parramatta Eels, North Queensland Cowboys, North Sydney Bears and Balmain Tigers.
Morrison missed just four games in his two year spell at the Eels and after arriving at the Bulls in 2007 he was named in the engage Super League Team of the Year that very season.
In his time at the Grattan Stadium so far Morrison has made 49 appearances and scored 21 tries.
The second-row boasts five State of Origin appearances for New South Wales on his list of honours in the game to date and Wildcats Head Coach John Kear is excited at the prospect of seeing Morrison in a Wakefield shirt.
"Glenn has a proven track record both in the NRL and in Super League, including State of Origin appearances," said Kear.
"His decision to join the Wildcats further cements the development of the club and the team and we are looking forward to the positive impact he will have on and off the field."
As well as becoming an important part of the Trinity squad, Morrison will also assist Head of Youth Performance Tony Drury in the development of the future generations of Wakefield players.
Morrison is relishing the new challenge in another part of West Yorkshire.
"Ever since I've been in the UK, Wakefield have been a club on the up," explained Morrison.
"I've heard good things about the setup at the club and it's the right move for me."
Speaking of his role working with some of the clubs youngsters, Morrison enthused: "The club's got a proven record of bringing through young players, and have got a great bunch of juniors coming through this year."
"I'm looking forward to passing on my experience to them."
Looking ahead to next season with his new club, Morrison is confident of another successful season at the Hearwell Stadium.
"With the personnel the clubs going to have next season I think we can be challenging to be a play-off semi-final side." he concluded.
