France have suffered a series of major injury blows ahead of Saturday's international against England with the loss of a trio of Catalans Dragons players.
Winger Cyril Stacul has broken his thumb in two places, prop forward David Ferriol has a sprained ankle and second rower Olivier Elima, the team's joint captain, has eight stitches in an eyelid wound.
All three were casualties of the Dragons' 32-30 Super League win over Leeds in Perpignan on Saturday and withdrew from Bobbie Goulding's 18-man squad today as the group moved from their Toulouse base to Paris, the venue for the mid-season international.
Goulding has called up Catalans' 21-year-old uncapped winger Frederick Vaccari, who has yet to play in Super League, and Dragons second rower Julien Touxagas.
