Wakefield's Ireland international winger Damien Blanch will miss the rest of the season after suffering a ruptured cruciate knee ligament in Sunday's 40-26 defeat by Wigan.
Blanch, who enjoyed a successful World Cup and was an ever-present so far this year for the Wildcats, sustained the injury in the closing stages of the match, shortly after scoring his second try.
"It's a massive blow because he's been going great," said Wakefield coach John Kear. "He's been one of the form wingers of the competition."
Youngster Aaron Murphy, who would have been in line to replace Blanch for Saturday's game against Bradford at Murrayfield, dislocated a wrist playing for the reserves on Saturday and Australian winger Mat Peterson pulled a groin in training.
