Struggling Bradford Bulls have recalled winger Dave Halley from his loan spell with Wakefield but have allowed prop forward Matt James to rejoin Halifax.
The Bulls agreed to extend the 22-year-old Halley's loan spell with the Wildcats after he scored four tries in his first month at Belle Vue but have now exercised their right to bring him back at short notice.
Halley missed Wakefield's win over Catalans Dragons on Sunday with a dead leg but could face the French side this Saturday with Bradford, who go to Perpignan seeking their first win of Super League XIV.
James, 22, began the season on loan to Championship club Halifax but was recalled a week after making his debut because of injuries to Bradford forwards Andy Lynch, David Solomona and Jamie Langley.
With Lynch and Langley back in action, coach Steve McNamara did not need James against Hull on Sunday and has allowed him to return to Halifax.
"We feel the time is right for both the club and Dave for him to return to the Grattan Stadium and the Bulls squad and we also feel it is right for Matt James to get some regular first-team football," said McNamara.
"It was always our intention, if the injury situation allowed, for Matt to return to Halifax where he will get a lot of experience in a tough competition."
During his time at Belle Vue, Halley scored a total of four tries in five games for the Wildcats.
Wakefield boss John Kear said: "The club would like to thank Dave and Bradford. Dave was marvellous while he was here and will have a big future in the game. We wish him the best of luck."
