Former Harlequins favourites Michael Worrincy and Rikki Sheriffe insist there will be no room for sentiment when they make a speedy return to the Twickenham Stoop with new club Bradford on Sunday.
Both players admit their games reached new heights during their spell with the Londoners and look back fondly on their time in the capital but, they jumped at the chance to return north when their contracts expired at the end of last season.
Now they face a quick reunion in an engage Super League game brought forward from round three to enable Harlequins to take on Australian champions Manly Sea Eagles in a warm-up for the World Club Challenge.
"I laughed when I saw the fixture list," said Bradford-born winger Sheriffe, 24, whose excellent form brought him close to receiving an England call-up last year.
"It's a great club and I'm really looking forward to going back down there and seeing some familiar faces.
"I really enjoyed living in London. The fans were good to me and I left on very good terms.
"It was a good experience and it helped me mature as a player. But coming to Bradford is a dream come true, it's my home-town club."
The return north has united the former Halifax winger with his younger brother Jode, who is in the Bulls' academy team, while the 22-year-old Worrincy also moved to be near his family.
Hailing from the Leeds district of Little London, Worrincy moved to the capital at the age of 11 with brother Rob, who is now with Sheffield Eagles, and has spent the last three seasons trying with some success to establish himself in Super League.
"I wanted to be a footballer until I found out I was no good," he said. "I only started playing rugby for a laugh but it's been a real good experience for me so far and hopefully I'll have a long career ahead of me.
"I played quite a few times for Quins last year and had a good time down there but sometimes you've got to move on.
"My aim now is to be in the starting team as much as I can and get as much game time as I can."
A second row forward, Worrincy has a fight on his hands to get a starting spot, with another new signing Steve Menzies, Glenn Morrison, Jamie Langley, Matt Cook and Dave Solomona all fighting for back-row places and with Greg Bird still to arrive.
"I didn't realise how many back rowers they had until I signed," he joked. "Competition doesn't scare me.
"You want to be the best player you can be and I want to play week in, week out in the Bulls first team."
Like Sheriffe, Worrincy is looking forward with eager anticipation to his competitive debut but is determined not to let the occasion get to him.
"It's just another game," he said. "It's a game you want to win but you've got to be smart.
"I don't want to be going down there all fired up, trying to be a hero and smash everyone. As long as I am playing, I'll try to play smart and play well and help us get the points."
