Castres flanker Ibrahim Diarra has been suspended for eight weeks after being found guilty of stamping on Glasgow Warriors prop Moray Low's head.

Diarra was found to be in contravention of Law 10.4(b) at a hearing in Dublin on Wednesday after clashing with Low in the second half of Castres' 10-8 Heineken Cup win on Saturday, European Rugby Cup announced.

The offence was deemed to be at the high-end entry point suspension of nine weeks but due to a a clean disciplinary record, Diarra had seven days deducted.

The Frenchman will therefore be eligible to return on February 11 next year although Diarra has the right to appeal today's outcome.
