Afghanistan v Scotland
Scotland managed just one run and one over on the third day of their ICC Intercontinental Cup tie with Afghanistan before succumbing to an innings defeat in Abu Dhabi.

Scotland began the day on 144 for nine in their second innings with the Afghans six runs ahead but could not force their opponents to bat for a second time.
Safyaan Sharif took his tally to 11 with a single off the first ball of the day but Dawlat Zadran bowled out Scotland captain Gordon Drummond for 16 at the fifth attempt today, with an outswinging delivery.
The Afghans posted victory by an innings and five runs after bowling out Scotland for 125 and then 145.
The loss closed a disappointing series for Scotland in the heat of the United Arab Emirates, where they suffered defeats in both T20 and one-day internationals as well as getting little over halfway through the four-day game.
The defeat sees Scotland slip to third in the table with the Afghans picking up 20 points to their zero to move three points behind leaders Ireland.
