Last season's Super 15 runners-up the Sharks continued their winning start to the new campaign with a low-scoring victory over South African rivals the Stormers in Durban.

All the points came during an 18-minute spell at the start of the second half at Kings Park Stadium, with Sharks fly-half Patrick Lambie outscoring Stormers full-back Joe Pietersen four penalties to two.

The match was a repeat of last year's semi-finals, which the Sharks won 26-19.

The Sharks now boast two wins from two following their hard-fought triumph over the Cheetahs last time out, and will look to continue their good form when they take on compatriots the Kings in round four.

Things are not looking so good for the Stormers, though.

The Cape Town-based outfit were unbeaten until round eight last season but they have now suffered back-to-back losses to start this campaign after losing to the Bulls in their opening match.

The Stormers play their first home match in the next round, but it promises to be a tough one with reigning Super 15 champions the Chiefs - who have scored 86 points in winning their first two matches - the visitors to Newlands.
