  • O'Connell rightly named Man of the Match as Burns knocks on, Keatley kicking forwards. Sharples gathers and just boots the ball out, Gloucester exhausted having found next to no joy out of the Munster defence. The Irish side simply worked hard as a unit and were never truly tested to their limits, putting in a commanding performance through Keatley and O'Connell. Munster are through to the quarter finals.

  • Ball hacked on by Zebo as the Ireland international comes off the bench, but Sharples beats him to the ball. Penalty Gloucester and Burns kicks into the corner for the final play.

  • Free kick to Gloucester at the scrum who tap and go. Advantage played so Burns tries a chip that doesn't come off. Back for the penalty, Gloucester rumbling on again.

  • Gloucester not giving up as they again run the ball back but Munster's way, but there's simply no way through the blue wall. Another choke tackle from Munster, another Munster scrum and it's no surprise to see O'Connell stand up from the bottom of the pile. He's been outstanding.

  • More Gloucester pressure in the Munster half. Pass spilled by Morgan though, another scrum. The whole game has been a showcase of solid Munster defence and poor execution from Gloucester.

  • Penalty for Gloucester who kick to the corner. Rolling maul with Morgan at the base but the ball is turned over, more frustration for the ever-frustrated fans in The Shed. Scrum to Munster.

  • PENALTY, MUNSTER, KEATLEY! 7-20: Simple strike by Keatley who has had a fine game for Munster. Victory now look secure.

  • Gloucester trying to counter ruck but they lose their footing and concede another penalty, this time kickable. Keatley looks to the sticks.

  • Murray gets away a box kick despite good pressure from Kvesic. Gloucester running it back and again build the phases deep in Munster territory. Ultimately, after multiple phases of going side to side, Munster get the penalty.

  • Bundling run from Monahan gets Gloucester into the Munster 22. Sharples trying to work space on the outside but the gaps closes up. Gloucester two metres out, wide ball from Morgan to May and Munder bundle him into touch. Five metre lineout for Munster.

  • TRY, MUNSTER, O'MAHONY! 7-17: But Munster can't be kept out for long. O'Mahony gets under the defender after a rumbling scrum makes ground, with the Ireland flanker too difficult to stop. Breathing space for Munster now as Keatley converts.

  • Murray pounces on the Gloucester scrum and his pass to O'Donnell is patted down by Morgan to prevent a try.

  • Earls breaks down the right touchline and Keatley's grubbers forces Robson to clear to touch. Second surge from Munster who are winning the territorial battle here as Jones takes his own up and under. Knocked on though by the visitors.

  • Gloucester lineout is both not straight and then knocked on, which sums up their execution at times nicely. Munster scrum back in their half.

  • Munster penalty at the ruck after more great work from the ageless O'Connell. Kalamafoni and Morgan on for Gloucester as Keatley finds a good touch.

  • Scrum to Munster on the halfway line after Gloucester made good yardage attacking the wide channels from deep in their 22, before eventually losing possession. Free kick to Gloucester, Burns unleashing the backs wide as Twelvetrees gets in the Munster 22.

  • Solid scrum from Gloucester but Thomas can't make his quick pass work and the ball is lost, Munster clearing their lines.

  • Gloucester working hard as Robson's inside flick to May nearly comes off. Munster knock on though means we'll have a scrum five metres out.

  • Gloucester attacking outside the Munster 22. Tackle on Twelvetrees looks high but nothing coming yet as Thomas breaks. Phase count goes over ten as the hosts keep driving around the fringes, loose pass from Sharples causing problems but Gloucester press on. Chip over from Burns and Jones is forced into touch five metres out.
