  • THERE IT IS! It's Care from the base of the ruck, darting under Denton's tackle to round things off neatly. Farrell knocks over from bang in front and the final winning margin is 20 points. FULL TIME.

  • Swing Low strikes up again and England are home and hosed. Can they send home fans on their way with one last hurrah?

  • Great fortitude from the Scots, defiantly holding swarms of English attacks on their own line. Incredible physicality. Hogg - the star of the show for Scotland - makes way for Evans.

  • Solid defence from Gray, who fields Farrell's chipped kick into the in-goal area intended for Strettle.

  • England getting a little bit sloppy as Brown shows over-ambition from Jackson's deep kick. Another chance for the Scots. Pyrgos is on for Laidlaw while Wilson enters for Cole as England hack the danger away.

  • TRY HOGG! He deserves that, the Scotland full-back, who shows searing pace to hack down the touchline and beat Flood to the bouncing ball in the in-goal area. Great handling back on their own line set that up for the visitors. Laidlaw converts brilliantly.

  • Lawes is already on for Launchbury and England ring further changes as Flood replaces Twelvetrees and Strettle comes on for Goode.

  • Scotland finally force their way into the England 22 but offend at the breakdown for the umpteenth time.

  • Hartley and Ford now hook against eachother following the departures of Tom Youngs and Hall.

  • Excellent stuff from Hogg, who counters off his own try-line and sends Visser streaking down the wing - eventually winning the Scots a penalty on halfway.

  • Marler and Ben Youngs depart and Vunipola and Care take the field.

  • THIS TIME! England regroup quickly as Ben Youngs runs back the penalty through midfield, and a glorious floated pass from Farrell sends Parling galloping over in the corner. The Scots are tiring and this could get worse for them... Farrell misses the kick, for once.

  • NO TRY! Goode dances his way to the try-line but is held up by desperate Scotland tackling. The defence can't prevent Launchbury forcing the ball down eventually... only for the touch judge to inform the referee of a previous infringement. Scotland have a penalty. Twickenham reacts accordingly with boos.

  • Haskell enters the fray as Morgan hobbles off.

  • DEBUT TRY! Morgan and Wood work the short-side and Twelvetrees takes the subsequent crash ball from Youngs, driving over from 5m out to mark his first cap with five points. Farrell nails a tough conversion.

  • Jackson lifts a drop-kick high to re-start the game and it's mere seconds before Scotland concede the first penalty of the half.

  • Not the best from England but it's good enough to be two scores clear of Scotland, who have allowed the imperious Farrell too many shots at goal. The visitors must improve in the second period if they are to push Lancaster's men close.

  • FRUSTRATION. Lancaster will be displeased with England's lapses in the aftermath of scoring. It's Wood this time penalised for side entry and Laidlaw boots over to cut the lead back to eight. HALF TIME.

  • TRY ASHTON! Parling, Twelvetrees and Launchbury all produce half-breaks to set England in motion and Ashton forces his way over from close range under two challenges. He's not had the best of years, but that was a strong finish from the Sarries wing. Farrell converts.

  • A second lineout lost by Tom Youngs, who overthrows Parling and allows Gray to disrupt. Very, very scrappy from the hosts.
