Catalan Dragons' early-season injury crisis has deepened with the loss of hooker Ian Henderson with a broken forearm.

The Scotland international is facing between 10 and 12 weeks on the sidelines after sustaining the injury during Friday's 40-12 home defeat by Leeds.

He was taken to hospital in Perpignan, where he underwent surgery.

"Injuries unfortunately are hitting us hard," said Dragons coach Laurent Frayssinous, whose side are without a win after three rounds of the 2014 First Utility Super League.

"We lost Daryl Millard before the game and Ian Henderson just before half-time and we have another eight players out through injury or suspension so we're doing it tough at the moment."

The Catalans will still be without forwards Olivier Elima and Julian Bousquet through suspension for the trip to Wakefield on Sunday and scrum-half Scott Dureau has been ruled out for four months after undergoing surgery for a ruptured bicep.

However, Frayssinous hopes to have centre Ben Pomeroy back from injury to face the Wildcats and former New Zealand international Louis Anderson could come into the reckoning after returning from compassionate leave.
