SUPER LEAGUE
Saturday
Warrington v Hull (+12)I was surprised by the Wolves in their defeat to St Helens last week. They were quite disrespectful towards the ball, it was amazing how many times they turned it over. They were too lateral at times too. However the returns of Ben Westwood and Ben Harrison are massive pluses this week; the former is their most physical forward.
With this pair back I take the Wolves to outmuscle a Hull side who are admittedly playing well right now. But Warrington will be smarting from their last defeat and despite doubts over the fitness of a few players, I expect them to win and cover.
Indeed I haven't lost any conviction in my belief that the Wolves will not only make the Grand Final - but win it. Any complacency has now disappeared.
NRL
Saturday
Bulldogs v Rabbitohs (+6)The Dogs have been the most consistent team in the NRL this year, winning the Minor Premiership. They come into this after a weekend off and are injury-free which is a problem for a South Sydney side who went well last week. However they struggled against Melbourne in their previous contest and I really liked the way the Dogs went against Manly. They make plenty of appeal to win and cover here.
