Whiteoak's choice of entries this weekend will depend on the participation of Celestial Halo.
Donald McCain's classy mare holds two engagements at Wincanton in the totescoop6 Elite Hurdle and totetrifecta Mares' Handicap Hurdle.
If Paul Nicholls was to run the Champion Hurdle runner-up in the Elite Hurdle, McCain would be keen to take him on at the weights but if he skips the contest, Whiteoak is likely to stay against her own sex.
"She will run weekend but I haven't decided which race yet, it will depend on Celestial Halo," said McCain.
"If he runs then I would have thought we'd run in the Elite, but if he doesn't we may as well carry a lot of weight against the mares.
"We would have loved to have gone to Wetherby but we just didn't dare. That was the ideal race for her last weekend but I wasn't brave enough.
"But she's very well, she's waiting to run and there are other more suitable targets that we'll sit tight for further down the line.
"I don't want to end up in the same boat as last year so we are going to kick on."
