Andrew Thornton is facing a spell on the sidelines after breaking his scapula in a gallops fall.
The jockey was riding out at Paul Webber's on Wednesday morning when he took a tumble and a doctor has confirmed the injury.
Thornton confirmed: "I've broken my scapula. I came off when I was riding out at Paul's and just landed on the point of my left shoulder.
"I have had it X-rayed and I'm going back for a scan on Monday but the doctor told me I will be out for four to five weeks.
"It's a relatively straightforward break but it is disappointing to be injured at this time of year when you've done all the schooling and the rain has just started coming for the jumps horses."
