Master Medic is not certain to contest the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham later this month, despite featuring among the 49 entries.
Robert and Sally Alner's gelding is set to carry 11st 1lb in the prestigious handicap on November 14 after the weights were announced on Wednesday.
Master Medic made it four wins in a row by taking the Byrne Group Handicap Chase at Ascot last weekend, but Sally Alner said: "He is in the Paddy Power Gold Cup and we will monitor the situation.
"But at the moment we could wait for Ascot as the Cheltenham race may come a bit quick."
Petit Robin and Our Vic share top weight of 11st 12lb.
The David Pipe-trained latter won the race in 2005, while Nicky Henderson's Petit Robin was third to Master Minded in the Queen Mother Champion Chase.
Champion trainer Paul Nicholls has a predictably strong hand with the sponsors' 6-1 joint-favourites Poquelin and Chapoturgeon still potentially involved and allotted 11st 1lb and 11st 4lb respectively.
Other options for Nicholls are My Will and Tatenen.
The well-supported Alan King-trained Tarotino (10st 10lb) is seeking a four-timer, while Kerry National hero Northern Alliance, from the Irish stable of Tony Martin, has 10st 12lb.
