DOUBLE: Aubrietia and Sweet Liberta

There was a lot to like about Megastar's good run in a jumpers' bumper at Kempton last month and he can register his first win over fences at Market Rasen.

Gary Moore's charge was a seriously high-class novice hurdler this time two years ago, but failed to reach the same heights over the larger obstacles last season.

He was tailed off on his final start of the campaign in the Scottish Champion Hurdle, but looked much more like his old self when returning from a lengthy absence to win a Flat maiden at Lingfield a month ago.

He backed up that fine comeback run with an excellent third behind Sam Winner and Peddlers Cross last time and hopefully he is now ready to get his act together over fences.

The Magners Golden Draught Novices' Chase looks a fine opportunity, particularly as he has run some of his best races on right-handed tracks.

Aubrietia has been in tremendous form since the turn of the year and looks bound to go well again in the Poker At coral.co.uk Handicap as all-weather action returns at Southwell.

The four-year-old has proved a real money-spinner since being bought by Alan McCabe out of Ed Vaughan's yard last summer, with four wins on turf and a couple of strikes at Wolverhampton seeing her rise from a mark in the 40s to a far more respectable 77.

She looked seriously well handicapped when winning over six furlongs at Dunstall Park in early January and after being beaten just a nose back over the minimum distance on her next start, deserved to get back to winning ways when back up in distance last time.

The assessor will of course catch up with her before too long, but having bad a couple of weeks to freshen up, Aubrietia should still be difficult to beat off her new mark.

It could turn out to be a good afternoon for McCabe at his favourite venue, as Una Bella Cosa appears to have outstanding claims in the coral.co.uk Mobile Betting Maiden Handicap.

The daughter of Dubai Destination looked pretty average on the turf last season, but has been seen in a much better light at a slightly lower level this winter.

A sound third here at Southwell in November represented a career-best at the time and she has followed that up with three more decent performances, beaten a little over a length the last twice.

She has already shown she can be competitive at this level and will find few better opportunities than this to get her head in front for the first time.

Sweet Liberta is fancied to bag her third win in less than a month in the concluding Online Betting Offers At bookmakers.co.uk Handicap.

Andrew Balding's filly won handsomely at Kempton on January 7 and was even more impressive at Lingfield just a week later.

She failed to complete the hat-trick when perhaps running a little too exuberantly back at Kempton, but still ran well to finish third and if she can settle better has an obvious chance of getting back in the number one spot.
