OSCAR WHISKY looked in great heart in his latest stretch on Nicky Henderson's main all-weather strip, doing some half-speed work ahead of the Centaur Hurdle at Cheltenham.
Henderson is keeping his fingers crossed the New Year's Day highlight survives the continuous inclement weather so that 'Oscar' can have another run in a programme that is not absolutely certain to include the Cheltenham Festival.

Several horses due to run over the New Year period worked this morning, with operations focussed on the all-weather.
MA FILLEULE looked unlucky to be gunned down close home at Newbury last time and the way she has worked suggests she can resume winning ways in a mares' novices' hurdle at Taunton on Sunday.
ELECTROLYSER is making the switch to the National Hunt game at the ripe old age of seven but he has taken well to the job on the schooling ground and should also go well at Taunton.
