Summary

The unexposed First Mohican seems certain to be sent off at a short price to retain his unbeaten record but not only do the market leaders have a miserable record, he's also rated higher - albeit marginally in cases - than any other winner so is well worth taking on.

Communicator and Nicholascopernicus are the two that make most appeal and it could be worth splitting stakes between the pair but for the purposes of this guide, Andrew Balding's runner gets the nod courtesy of his win in a class two handicap whereas the latter failed to trouble the judge on his only start at that level, the King George V Stakes at Royal Ascot.
