AZAMOUR 4 (J. M. Oxx)
Will start off in the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh on May 22 unless the ground looks like being soft when could run in the previous weekend's Lockinge Stakes instead. Likely to me kept to a mile and ten furlongs because earlier thoughts of going for the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes have been scrapped. Needs good ground or faster.
FOOTSTEPSINTHESAND 3 (A.P. O'Brien)
Has only raced on soft ground but should be even better on good going or faster, and should stay at least ten furlongs. The subject of a spectacular gamble when making a winning debut at Naas and had no problem following up in the Killavullan Stakes. A real classic prospect.
DARK CHEETAH 3 (A.P. O'Brien)
Found to have jarred a joint when disappointing in the Windsor Castle Stakes and easily defied top weight when returned for the valuable Birdcatcher Nursery at Naas. May not be suited by soft ground but should be capable of winning at Group level, at least.
GRAND CENTRAL 3 (A.P. O'Brien)
Forget his defeat at Leopardstown on Sunday. He had done little strong work, as evidenced by his appearance in the parade ring when he looked far from wound up. He should bounce back, particularly on better ground, and that Leopardstown defeat means he is going to start at a reasonable price next time.
INDESATCHEL 3 (D. Wachman)
Suffered from a sore back as a two-year-old but a much improved horse this season. He was impressive in the Loughbrown Stakes at the Curragh at the beginning of the month and will have big chance in the Greenham Stakes on Saturday. Likes soft ground but goes well on good.
INTRIGUING 3 (D. Wachman)
Aptly named. Has not been seen since making a winning debut at Cork in May but Jamie Spencer got off Damson after winning the Queen Mary and said this is a better filly. Wants good ground and will start off in a Listed race. Is in the Irish 1,000 Guineas.
JAZZ PRINCESS 3 (Jessica Harrington)
Won all three starts at two and galloped the opposition into the ground in the C.L. Weld Park Stakes. Has won on good but in her element in the soft. Her pedigree suggests that she will be best at a mile and she is being trained for the Irish 1,000 Guineas.
SAOIRE 3 (Frances Crowley)
Unlucky in the Moyglare Stud Stakes when she was hampered and was last of the 12 runners approaching the furlong marker. Finished best of all to take third. Not suited by soft ground but looks a Guineas prospect.
TIGER DANCE 3 (A.P. O'Brien)
Full brother to Giant's Causeway and made an impressive debut at Leopardstown on the day of the Irish Champion Stakes. Wore a tongue tie that day and not seen again but is a potentially top class sort. Pedigree suggests he will probably be at his best around ten furlongs.
VINNIE ROE 7 (D.K. Weld)
A natural for any Ten-To-Follow list as he is all guts and can be relied up to run his heart out every time. Likely to start in the Yorkshire Oaks and then go for the Ascot Gold Cup in which he was only beaten a neck three years ago. A fifth Irish St Leger and another Melbourne Cup tilt are on the cards. Acts on most types of ground but doesn't want it too firm or too heavy.
