Age Of Kings
Not the darkest horse in the list, he was a beaten favourite at Royal Ascot after all, but very much a forgotten one.
John Gosden's charge never saw daylight in the Windsor Castle Stakes which turned out to be his final race but came home in the manner of an exciting colt. Held in very high regard at home and regally-bred, he will win races at around a mile at three.
Alshamatry
Trainer Marcus Tregoning isn't one to waste big-race entries and it is significant that this filly was one of only two he had in the 1000 Guineas and Oaks this winter.
She is yet to see a racecourse, and was reported to be slightly backward in early April, but is clearly expected to make the grade when she does reach the track.
She is impecabbly bred being by Seeking The Gold out of top race mare Mehthaaf.
Cashier
This colt had made the list before his eyecatching reappearance at Newmarket on Tuesday.
The grey son of Alhaarth was slowly away in the Alex Scott Maiden Stakes but ran on with great aplomb to beat all bar Paper Talk.
Seven furlongs was always going to be too sharp for the John Gosden-trained colt but given ten furlongs and more time he has the makings of a very smart performer.
Eccentricity
Regally bread being a daughter of Kingmambo and Shiva and in the hands of Henry Cecil, this is a filly to follow this year.
She was the subject of persistent whispers before her racecourse debut at Yarmouth but was too green to do herself justice and finished fifth behind the useful Queen of Poland.
She will leave that form behind with time and a distance of ground this year.
Jack The Giant
Very big and backward at two, the Barry Hills-trained colt owes his place on this list to a promising debut at Windsor in July.
He then ran at Lingfield and was all at sea on the very soft ground. He is a fascinating prospect given time and middle distances.
Kalamkar
He may not live up to his breeding but Kalamkar is a colt to keep on your side after his promising racecourse debut at Newmarket.
In need of the run, he was settled at the rear of the field before finishing best of all in the race won by Top Gear.
He will improve significantly for the experience and while a maiden is a formality, connections will be hoping that will only be the starting point for a colt who hails from the family of Kalanisi.
Master Of The Race
Another Dante entry from the Sir Michael Stoute team and a colt who shaped with abundant promise when second in a back-end Newmarket maiden.
He was very green there and will improve with experience and could be best at ten furlongs.
Sanchi
Many trainers quake as Godolphin formulate their winter shopping list but John Gosden was probably surprised to see this colt heading out of Manton.
He ran only once at two, thundering home into third when the penny finally dropped at Doncaster. The experience will not be lost on him and neither will a winter in Dubai.
Seven Year Itch
He has his quirks, and plenty of them, but is included here in the hope that a winter gelding operation has the desired effect.
From the family of Sleepytime, he has been second on all three starts to date and has had his attitude questioned. It is significant the connections are persevering with him at four and if he returns to fray more focused, he could make up into a decent handicapper.
Teeba
A regally-bred filly being a daughter of the brilliant Shadayid, she carried a tall home reputation to Newmarket for her only start at two.
She was slowly away, was checked mid-race and came home best of all to take fourth in the race won by Tomoohat.
John Dunlop still has her in both the Oaks and the 1000 Guineas and she should pay her way this summer.
