Clive Brittain hailed wonder fillies Zenyatta and Goldikova after their brilliant victories against the colts in the Breeders' Cup Classic and Mile respectively.
The veteran Newmarket trainer knows just what it takes as he sent out Pebbles to become the first British raider to win at the Breeders' Cup when she landed the Turf at Aqueduct in 1985.
"Zenyatta's was a very exciting race," said Brittain.
"She must be an exceptional filly to take on the colts. When you get a very good one, they can do it.
"They have to be good. I've been lucky enough to have three fillies who could do it - Sayyedati, User Friendly and Pebbles. They were exceptionally good fillies and certainly don't come around very often.
"Goldikova is another really good filly. It just shows you that when they are good, this is a very difficult time for the colts to beat them.
"They come really strong now as well and are probably at their best.
"They can improve all the way from the spring through to autumn. A lot of fillies have won the Arc. They wouldn't have won the Arc in the spring but can do in the autumn.
"Seeing fillies like those two last night always brings back memories. That's why I don't go over there very often because very few Pebbles come by. She was a great filly."
