Rip Van Winkle will start from post 10 when he locks horns with American wonder mare Zenyatta in Saturday's Breeders' Cup Classic at Santa Anita.

Aidan O'Brien's star colt was handed the draw on Tuesday night, while Zenyatta will go from post four with Henry Cecil's Twice Over in five.

Freddie Head's Goldikova will face a tough task as she bids to emulate fellow French filly Miesque by taking the Mile for the second consecutive year.

She was drawn 11 of 11 while Godolphin star Delegator is in four, Zacinto in eight and Gladiatorus in nine.

Sir Michael Stoute's Conduit got a favourable draw in two as he bids for a repeat win in the Turf. John Gosden's Dar Re Mi - now to be ridden by Frankie Dettori - will be in five with another former winner Red Rocks in three and Spanish Moon seven.

Mastercraftsman drew the plum inside position in one for the Dirt Mile, and is now just 6-5 on the Morning Line.

The Ballydoyle pair Beethoven and Alfred Nobel were handed posts three and one for the Juvenile with Vale Of York in seven and Radiohead in 11.

Hot favourite Zensational drew post one for the Sprint, with Jeremy Noseda's Fleeting Spirit having it tough out in nine.

Lord Shanakill, now trained by Richard Mandella, will be coming from post two in the Turf Sprint, while Kieren Fallon and Strike The Deal are widest of all in 12.

The Juvenile Turf saw Pounced and Viscount Nelson handed four and two respectively, with Awesome Act in six and Buzzword out wide in 12.

With Zenyatta out of the way the Ladies' Classic should be easier to win, but Rainbow View must do it the hard way after being drawn widest of all in post eight.

Cecil's Midday will come from post six in the Filly & Mare Turf while Ballydoyle juvenile Lillie Langtry landed eight in the Juvenile Fillies' Turf.

And finally Mastery will go from post six in the Marathon with Father Time in five and last year's winner Muhannak in two.
