African Skies, who ran such a big race for one so inexperienced in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot, is on target for the Jaguar Cars-sponsored Lowther at York on August 21.
Kevin Ryan's filly finished fourth from an unfavourable draw last month on only her second ever start and looks a juvenile of real promise.
The daughter of Johannesburg holds an entry in a maiden at Ayr on Monday but is unlikely to go there - although Ryan is looking for a suitable opportunity for her to open her account.
"She probably won't go to Ayr on Monday but she's in great order," said Ryan.
"She's done marvellously since Ascot, she's really grown into herself and the plan is to go for the Lowther.
"It would be nice to find her a little maiden somewhere beforehand but a lot will depend on the ground, she wouldn't want it soft but she'll go on good or faster.
"I was delighted with her at Ascot and she looks as if she has improved again.
"She didn't have an ideal draw at Ascot, she was the only one drawn high to get involved in the finish and we had to ride the race differently to how we wanted by dropping her in.
"She's come out of it well though and she seems to have grown up physically and mentally. She's thriving."
