Analysis

Wayne Tanner: "It wasn't a surprise - he has always worked like a nice horse and the key has been to get him to relax. I'd imagine we'll see what the handicapper does."

Jimmy Quinn: "I went down early on him and took everything quietly. I was up behind the Andrew Balding filly and she and the Irish horse were going to take me the whole way. He has won in the style of what he has been showing at home. It was just trying to get things together on the track but he has done it today. I gave him a couple of backhanders to make his mind up and make him go about his business but he has won going away."

Shane Lyons: "They just didn't go quick enough. A true-run mile would have been ideal for him. This is only his sixth race and he hit the front two furlongs out and he's pricked his ears. He's green and has got an awful lot of improvement to come. He's entered for the 7f furlong race at Galway next week, ground dependent. He'd want good ground or better, but he'll go for all the big handicaps and Dubai at the end of the year."

Gary Carroll: "We went a bit steady early and I had to commit my horse a bit earlier than I would have liked - it would have suited me to get a bit of a tow for a bit longer. He is an improving horse and is going the right way."
