HABAAYIB continued a stellar week for Sheikh Hamdan by landing the Albany Stakes well from Ballydoyle hotpot Lillie Langtry. She travelled within herself under Richard Hills who timed his challenge to perfection as Aidan O'Brien's filly stayed on well in the final stages to challenge the winner. The pair pulled over two lengths clear of the rest and are evidently smart, with both available at around 14/1 for next year's 1000 Guineas. Henry Cecil's Chachamaidee set a decent pace and deserves plenty of credit herself for holding onto third place comfortably. The American filly Aegean tried to keep with her but fell back inside the final furlong, while Curtains ran a blinder under Christophe Lemaire to finish fifth at 100/1. Kate Skate clipped heels with Kurtanella midway through the race with Richard Hughes taking a tumble from the latter.
