Analysis
BALLABRIGGS won for Donald McCain Jnr and owner Trevor Hemmings although he just hung on after almost stopping to a walk up the hill. Stablemate Khachaturian took them along at a real gallop and he looked as though he might burn them all off at one stage, though the winner was always going well just in behind. As Khachaturian faded Ballabriggs cruised into the lead and looked like he was going to win by a furlong as he approached the last. He jumped it well but then idled to the extent that Faasel and Galant Nuit came from nowhere to be involved in the finish, though Richard Harding just held on in a photo. Faasel rattled home for second, just ahead of Galant Nuit who was outpaced but then stayed on. Ma Yahab also ran on late for fourth.
