Analysis
Australian raider SCENIC BLAST lived up to his tall reputation Down Under with a splendid win. Held-up behind the pace, he made up his ground very smoothly on the outer under Steven Arnold and was in command inside the final two furlongs. His jockey felt he had hit the front too soon but he had little option with his mount travelling so well. Fleeting Spirit made her challenge down the stands' rail as she improved a place on her effort in the race 12 months ago. For a stride of two she looked like making the winner pull out more but had to settle for the runner's-up berth. 33-1 chance Anglezarke produced a career-best effort to date and finished strongly past beaten horses to grab third while Borderlescott ran a cracker in fifth having raced prominently from the start and keeping on in game fashion. 2008 hero Equiano showed blistering speed once again for four furlongs but had no extra to give late in the day while Amour Propre found disappointingly little have also race in the firing line. This is not Tax Free's track and he was well beaten here once again.
