Analysis

The first two home had already shown a fair level of form with LADY GORGEOUS going down narrowly to a more experienced rival over C&D and Tickled Pink chasing home the Cherry Hinton second (Russelliana) from a subsequent Listed winner. Sir Henry Cecil's filly was all the rage in the market and holds entries in the Lowther and the Moyglare Stud Stakes. She moved to the fore travelling easily before being slightly interfered with by Refreshtheparts who ran green but was soon back on an even keel and was just run out of it by a better filly on the day. Lady Gorgeous also has an entry for the Lowther and was well on top at the line. She got more cover than the winner, quickened well to join the runner-up when asked and showed a good attitude in getting the better of a sustained duel. Her trainer has had plenty of success at the top level with juvenile fillies and is sure to give her every chance to prove herself at a higher level. William Knight sent out his first juvenile winner of the season earlier this month and this was a pleasing debut from Dance Company who made up plenty of late ground to snatch third on the line. She's related to juvenile winners and should have little trouble winning her maiden with this run under her belt having looked in need of the experience. Tina's Spirit posted a career best and is now qualified for nurseries; she's related to a number of winners including the useful juvenile Luck Money and looks capable of upholding the family honour. Gifted Dancer was unfancied on debut and very green but took a marked step forwards here whilst Ice Missile, Idols Eye and City Dazzler were others to show promise with Iced Opal also improving from her debut.
