Ryan Winks: "I lost my stirrup at the first fence, it comes up quite quickly on you, but after that he jumped brilliantly. Coming all this way, it means a lot - it's a big win for a small yard with three or four horses. We train not far from the A1, it's a brilliant place to train, it's in the middle of the country and you can get anywhere within three hours. My dad put £50 each-way on him, and up to two years ago on his form he should be winning this race really. He has run well in the past and if he's still got it as a 12-year-old he should be winning. That's my third winner under Rules, and I think I've had five pointing. I'm looking for more rides and I can do lower weights. I wanted to make it a strong pace as I knew a few of the horses wouldn't get home in this ground.
