David Barron: "That was a good performance. He's a game horse and he's really stuck his neck out there. He didn't run too badly last time out but maybe the ground was too quick and it was slightly better company than he faced here. He ran really well at Ripon the time before on good to soft and is a decent sprinter on his day. He's also shown that he can carry weight well so we're hopeful he can land another race before the season is out."

Michael Wigham: "We were going to go for the Ayr Gold Cup after winning this but obviously we won't get in now. So we'll have to find a Plan B. He's needed time, and we've given it to him. A furlong out he was travelling like a winner but the ground was a bit slow and dead today and in the closing stages he just got stuck in it. But even though the ground was against him, he's run a blinder and we're delighted with him. He's going to be a proper Saturday horse."

Frankie Dettori: "He was the last off the bridle, but in the last bit the ground was just too sticky."
