Saeed bin Suroor: "Shuruq is a tough filly and she has always moved very nicely on Tapeta in the mornings. She won the UAE Oaks last year and won on the Tapeta earlier this year before we took her to the grass and she did not run well. Back on Tapeta, she has been successful again. She is improving all of the time and H H Sheikh Mohammed has decided that she will run in the Godolphin Mile on Dubai World Cup night (March 29). After that, we may send her to America so she can run on the dirt out there."

Mickael Barzalona: "It was shame that Silvestre (de Sousa) missed a big meeting like this. He has a nice filly for the Godolphin Mile. Shuruq loves Tapeta and she can be one of the top fillies on the surface."
